Besides having a strong commitment to customer service, LR Hines' extensive technical expertise is an important asset when it comes to delighting our customers. Prior to encountering SIRE and its innovative and extensively integrated and powerful architecture, we found that other systems often required custom modules to be usable in some client environments.
Some of our clients have had very specific problems that were not addressed by other popular but less comprehensive document imaging systems. These clients needed specialized solutions. For them, the LR Hines programming staff has been able to provide custom programs and integration services that addressed system shortcomings and met the clients' needs. We have even turned some of these custom solutions into standard products!
With SIRE, you will likely need no customization of your system. Even some of the most exotic requirements can be met with a skilled combination of the standard SIRE modules. But whether or not your unique issues require custom programming, rest assured that LR Hines has the knowledge and experience to deliver a solution that exceeds your expectations. Here are some examples of the products we have created to meet customer needs.
The Archive Manager for SIRE automates the process of archiving your SIRE documents and metadata to read-only storage media. Archived documents become an unalterable record of original images and data, meeting legal requirements and other compliance needs. Using the Archive Manager, a company can demonstrate that it has met its legal requirement to store digital documents in a read-only format.
Why is this important? Most states have laws requiring that digital documents be stored on unalterable media in order to set them in time. Otherwise, a digital document may not hold up in court because it may be possible to alter the document and difficult, if not impossible, to prove that is has not been altered. Therefore, it is essential to have procedures in place to insure that documents are stored on unalterable media within a reasonable timeframe, thereby, ensuring the authenticity of the document.

Benefits
The Media Publisher for SIRE publishes SIRE documents and index data to external media for document delivery, making your enterprise data portable. Published documents can be easily delivered to support mobile staff, legal discovery and other document requests without requiring the end-user to have SIRE installed on their system. To publish to CD or DVD, simply use Media Publisher to search for the documents you wish to publish. Once you’ve identified all desired documents, Media Publisher will burn them to the drive of your choice.
The Media Publisher includes an integrated index search utility and document viewer that can be published along with the documents and index data. This allows the end-user of the published data to search for documents and view them on systems that do not have SIRE installed or do not currently have access to the network on which the SIRE repository resides.
Benefits
QuickShot allows you to print documents from any Windows application directly into SIRE. It also allows you to index the data at the time you print to SIRE. This add-on makes it easy to quickly store copies of digital documents to SIRE in the efficient TIFF image format.
QuickLink provides the connection between your existing applications and related documents stored in the SIRE repository. With QuickLink, you can launch SIRE documents in the SIRE viewer with the click of your mouse. For example, you may be viewing a record in a Permit application and wish to view the permit application or all related documents stored in SIRE. Click on QuickLink to launch those documents and view them without have to leave your existing application.
The WebCalendar for SIRE is a web-based event calendar that may be included on your organization website. It allows you to set up events and associate SIRE documents to the event. The easy-to-use management interface allows you to link SIRE documents to events recorded in the calendar. Then website users can search the calendar for events and dates of interest. On locating an event, they can view the documents related to that event. The WebCalendar can be completely integrated with your own Web site so that it has the same look and feel.
