OCR™

Converting a scanned document into a digital document, or getting the computer to recognize the letters in a document as text, is what OCR™ (Optical Character Recognition) is all about. Accurate and reliable OCR™ opens the door to full text-searches. This means, your computer can now "read" your document instead of seeing it like a picture. Users of SIRE OCR/FTR™ can conduct "Google" type searches for words or phrases contained within the body of a scanned or electronic document. SIRE™ users can also search using the "fuzzy logic" feature of SIRE™ to find information even when there are misspellings in the document.
